The ’08 LZ Shorty Knee Guards offer comfortable, lightweight protection with a minimal profile. They feature a tough, grid-reinforced knee cap, gripper TPR on the inside of the knees, and a soft, plush inner lining. Available in sizes S, M, L in white, size S in pink. Sold in pairs.
Applications
Off-Road: The LZ Shortys are a great choice for riders with a shorter inseam that don't want the extra mass of a shin guard going into their boots. While they're great when worn under pants, they're a perfect match for MX shorts or over-the-boot pants with zip-off legs. The mesh cuff keeps the knee armor snugly in place, and the rubber inserts on the inside of the knees allows you to grip the tank without destroying your graphics.
Cycling: The LZ Shortys are an excellent choice for racers looking for light, cool, knee protection, or for all-mountain riders looking for guards that are easily packed for the ascent, but offer great protection on the way down.
Snow: The low-profile design of the Shortys fits easily under the pants for snowboarding.
Fitment
The LZS come in 3 sizes, Small, Medium, and Large (the pink version is currently available only in size Small). The circumference of the thigh cuff, and the strap lengths define the difference in sizing. Holding your leg straight, measure from the top of your kneecap to the point on your thigh 4 inches above. At that point, measure around your thigh.
Small: 15-16.5 inches
Medium: 17-18.5 inches
Large: 19-22.5 inches
Because the materials in the thigh cuff stretch, these measurements are approximate. If you're at the end of one size and beginning of another, make your selection based on your preference for overall tension.
